Overview
About Me
I'm relatively new to couchsurfing, so hang in there while I get into the flow of using this site.
I'm a dress maker by trade and in my spare time an avid aerial acrobat (circus stuff!). It's my real passion, don't get me started talking about it because I may not stop.
I'm a bubbly person who enjoys nothing more than an adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live on a tight budget but dream of seeing the world. I hope that by being an active part of this site that I can work towards that dream, and facilitate the same for others.
In my mind the best way to experience a new place is with someone who knows it's beat. New cultures are really fascinating to me, and that's what brings me here.
Interests
I'm a bit of a reader, a huge circus enthusiast, and an all round creative person who enjoys making things. Music is also a big passion for me, as well as performance art. I have recently bought myself a lap steel guitar so if anyone can help me with that...!

Music, Movies, and Books
Main musical tastes are varied but include rock, blues, country, folk, jazz, reggae, punk, northern soul, swamp pop, and more. Not much of a house music fan though I must admit.
Movies and books... Honestly too many to name.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel related: Climbed a mountain alone in Albania. Okay it was only a few hours hike up but I didn't see a single other person the entire time and it was majestic.
Not travel related: Establishing my own circus community. We've just celebrated our third birthday, we have created two ensemble circus productions, and become a kind of family. It's called Hastings Guerrilla Circus, and if you like you can check us out on facebook! !
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to hang upside down in the air from a trapeze, rope, or hoop! I can teach you how to walk on stilts, or stand on your head.
I could teach you to make a corset or bake a cake. I can also teach you how NOT to play guitar :p
I'm pretty sure there's not much I wouldn't love to learn, and so am open to all new experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My home, my beautiful town, my lovely friends, circus arts, energy, enthusiasm and of course, food ;)
More details about my home:
I live in a small flat, which is a basement, in the centre of Hastings town. It is a 5 minute walk to the train station, and a 2 minute walk to the sea. When you step outside of my house, you can see the beach :)
It is just a one bedroom flat, so any surfers will stay on the sofa bed in the living room. It is a double bed, so I can host 2 if you are comfortable sharing it together. I've slept on it myself and it's quite comfortable.
My home is strictly non smoking, but there is a courtyard out back where you can smoke if you wish.
It's a quirky flat, but I like to think it's homely and welcoming.
