About Me
Hej I'm Claire!
I'm 2 years old, I live in Strasbourg but have also lived in Uppsala, Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) in the past and took advantage from that time to travel a lot through Europe.
I'm pretty curious and open : I really like to discover new things and hear about other cultures! And Couchsurfing is a perfect way to quench this thirst! I have not done it as much as I would have but I hope to travel a lot more in the future!
Otherwise I play the clarinet and the ukulele, which are a great way to meet new people! I also enjoy volleyball.
CURRENT MISSION
Studying for my last year and getting ready to find a job.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing, meeting and maybe hosting in the near future! I think couchsurfing is an amazing opportunity to discover and mingle.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed with friends in Helsinki and Riga while traveling in the Baltic sea region in december 2014. I met incredible people and I can't wait to do that again soon. The end of the trip was stressful since I got my ID and my credit card stolen in Riga and had to take a plane two days after. Couchsurfing helped me feel better. My host Yoris was a real support.
I can't welcome guests right now but I'm really looking forward to the day where I'll become a host.
Interests
As most people on couchsurfing, I think I'm a pretty opened and curious person. There is sadly never enough time to see everything.
Hobbys : Volleyball, swimming, Clarinet, Ukulele learning
Listening to music and going to concerts : My music tastes are really large and go from rock to jazz and rap. To french music, to swedish, german etc. I'm always happy to discover new artists. I love going to concerts : I saw very different things like Sting, Scorpions, Travis, Movits!, the virgins, etc. And in a few days Mark Knopfler, ex-Dire Straits in Uppsala!
I love reading, movies and TV shows.
I'm also interested in sustainable development and new technologies. I'm trying to learn programming by myself and hope to have more time during the summer to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Book : English and American classics, Jane Austen, short stories, crime novel, ...
Movie: all genres but comedy above all. My favorites films are Nos jours heureux (french film by the directors of Untouchables) , A day at the funeral and Rain man.
Music: My favorite bands are probably Travis and Dire Straits. But right now I'm trying to listen to as much german music as possible like die Ärzte.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Since I have to choose one, I'll say that I went to Lappland and fed reindeers! Also I ate reindeer and moose meat.
But there's plenty more !
