ABOUT ME
Philosophy grad student, lover of good food and wine, rock and roll, crass jokes, and intelligent conversation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Just moved to Chicago after living in rural Minnesota and Pennsylvania for the last decade, so while I haven't been able to be active as a host in the past I'm looking forward to being able to participate more!

Music, Movies, and Books

Maggie Nelson, Elena Ferrante, Anne Carson, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Italo Calvino, Samuel Beckett
Passion of Joan of Arc, La Strada, Paris Texas, Fanny and Alexander
What I Can Share with Hosts
Conversation, in English or in very rusty German. I'm especially interested in discussing radical democratic projects, immigration, race, crime and punishment, and sexual politics and culture--I teach college classes in feminism and gender studies.
Singing and dancing as unskilled as it is enthusiastic.
A mediocre cook but enthusiastic eater and aspiring cocktail maker.
