Hi!
My boyfriend and I just finished up a 12 month break from work where we travelled around the world. We had an amazing time meeting loads of people through couchsurfing and volunteering and want to pay it back and host some likeminded travellers.

In our year away we hiked the Appalachian Trail in the United States, walking 2198 miles from Georgia to Maine. We met so many incredible people on the trail and in the small towns we passed through. We stayed with some amazing locals along the way and really found this to be the most rewarding way to get to know the country instead of the usual touristy things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm always keen to get to know a city through the locals that live there instead of following the usual tourist trail. My favourite thing to do is go for a run around a new city in the morning to see how people live and go about their usual routine, as well as a way to stay healthy while eating amazing local foods!

Interests

I'm a vegetarian and like to cook good nutritious food, as well as treating myself to plenty of delicious pastries like croissants!
I like to do yoga, it makes me happy and relaxed, and have recently become addicted to reformer pilates. I enjoy cycling as my main mode of transport at home and love travelling to cities with great bike paths.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can sometimes be pretty busy with work but can offer a comfy bed in a private room in our wfh office. But want you to make yourself at home and explore Canberra and the lovely nature nearby, and come along if we've got social things going on too. We've also got a bicycle to help get around.
