About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To become Mother Nature's personal assistant!!
ABOUT ME
I currently work and live on Christmas Island one of the best places to be! I’ve been here 2 years working in the National Park doing everything from planting trees, administration, bat surveying, breeding reptiles, killing invasive ants, saving red crabs, surveying birds, land crabs, bats, reptiles, cats…..work is varied and loads of fun!!! Previous to this I lived around Australia working as Firefighter in Victoria and a field officer in Port Lincoln National Park.
I have to busy active boys aged 9 and 6, a pair of eco warriors, I spend most my year looking after them and then when I have the oppurtunity to have a break I nick of and do some solo travel :-)
PHILOSOPHY
I have a 4 holiday per year policy which so far I’m keeping up with pretty good! I love to go traveling solo when I have the chance and with my boys taking them to see the National Parks, Islands and animals around the world….this year’s family destination the jungles of BORNEO or Cocos Keeling I can't decide. Maybe both!!!
And if you can’t tell already..I love diving!
I feel very very lucky to have the job I have, with the people that I work with and the best friends I have on this wonderful Island
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I’m happy to have singles, couples or family come stay. My situation varies with single parenting, I’m living a busy life working fulltime and with the kids so my couch can be a bit hectic and my time and house space a little tight but occasional they go hon holidays with family and my house gets quiet and roomy! I’m happy to pick you up from the airport, show you around town, show you our amazing National Park, and go diving with you (if you scuba) or snorkel….and take you to some of the best parties on island!!

So far I’ve met a few CS through my best mate (also a couch surfer), I’ve had a CS come work with us in the National Park and hosted once when Braydon’s couch space ran short. Any CS working (DIAC) visitors I'll try to meet up with and share dinner, drinks and show you around a bit :-)
