About Me

CURRENT MISSION

stability, joy, freedom

ABOUT ME

I grew up in Seattle and will always consider the Emerald City home. Went to college in the Midwest and spent some time studying and working in Latin America. I spent my first two years out of college putting my journalism degree to use as an editorial assistant for an environmental news website, then got restless and decided I needed to try something completely different, so I headed to Colorado to work on trails with the Southwest Conservation Corps. Now I'm in the middle of my second season with SCC, having a grand time living out of my tent, car, and maybe your couch!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed a handful of times in the U.S. and participated in a few couchsurfing social events in Seattle, but I hope to get more involved! I don't have a couch to offer at the moment, but someday...

Music, Movies, and Books

all-time favorite movies include point break, dazed and confused, the sound of music, singles, clueless...

all-time favorite books include a tree grows in brooklyn; bright lights, big city; to kill a mockingbird, and harry potter of course. lately i've enjoyed wild by cheryl strayed, the flamethrowers by rachel kushner, a visit from the goon squad by jennifer egan, and everything by junot diaz and colson whitehead.

pretty wide-ranging music tastes but i like classic folk/rock along the lines of bob dylan and csny, alternative country such as lucinda williams, drive-by truckers, steve earle... and most danceable/chillable hiphop especially de la soul, tribe called quest, people under the stairs, etc.
