My name is Claire, I'm a 27 years-old french girl.
I'm curious and open-minded. I'm a little shy, but as soon as I feel comfortable I can become very talkative ! I love chatting about anything and everything.

I love discovering new cultures, learning new languages and being able to communicate with people from all over the world... I love travelling an living abroad and i think that once you start to travel, it's very hard to stop !

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

When i was living with my mother, we wert part of the Servas network, which is kind of the ancestry of Couchsurfing (created in 1945!!), and i found it really interesting to host people from all over the world...

I think couchsurfing is a great way to travel differently, to get in touch with local people and to discover countries from the "inside"...

兴趣

My interests are varied : I like traveling with friends, but i think that i prefer traveling by myself because i've never met so many people than when i was traveling alone!

I like reading, playing music (I used to play the piano for more than 10 years, now I play the trumpet and i try to play the guitar...). I like watching movies, visiting museums and exhibitions, going out to see theatre, dance or circus performances.

I'm very active and like sport. I like hiking, riding my bike. I traveled twice in bike, from Dunkerque (North of France) to Copenhagen in 2013 (1300km) and from Besançon (East of France) to Budapest in 2014 (1800km).

I like almost all kind of music, i'mvery eclectic. I like jazz, rock, reggae, french variety, classcial music, world music (columbian cumbia, forro brasileiro, bossa nova, etc..) . and I love when people share their musical tastes with me and get to discover new styles of music.

I like the neorealist italian movies (like Rome citta aperta ),the latinamercican and spanish movies (new mexican cinema, almodovar movies,etc etc) and I usually prefer independent movies but sometimes I also like some american big productions (such as Tarantino's movies)...

I love the french writer Romain Gary (La vie devant soi, La promesse de l'aube) as well as Daniel Pennac (Malaussene series), i've loved the books "Sophie's choice", by William Styron, "Cien anos de soledad" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, "Lolita" by Nabokov, "Anna Karenine" by Tolstoi and many many other ones....

One thunderstorm while I was in a ferryboat in Costa Rica's seas with everybody dancing under the rain ... and with huge and beatufiful flashes of lightining!!!
