About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a 25 old Australian who grew up in Newcastle on the mid north coast of New South Wales. A few years back I moved to Sydney to study Arts/Media and Communications. During my time at uni I completed an exchange year in Grenoble, France as part of my French major. It was here I developed a taste for living abroad and having the rest of Europe at my doorstep!
My first trip overseas was back in 2011. I spent a month travelling around Vietnam with two close friends from uni. I could not have asked for a better trip!
My friends tell me that I'm funny, easy going and patient. I like to go with the flow and have a laugh!
What I would say is that I'm an artistically minded, outdoors person who enjoys beautiful things and delicious food. Despite my wanderlust I think I'll always wind up back in Australia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently taking a break from work and on the tail end of a five month, round the world trip. During this last part of my trip, I will be joined by my old friend Jessica (also Australian) to road trip from Seattle to LA via Utah.
We are looking for hosts in Oregon, California and Utah, particularly those in or near Bend OR, Crater Lake National Park OR, Redwood National Park CA, San Fran, Yosemite National Park CA and LA. We are on the road from 11/15/16 until 12/05/16.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed for the first time in Berlin summer 2012- great experiece!
Second surfing experience in Grenoble, France. Could not have been more lucky to stay with Analin and Marc! They really helped me set up my life in France and to this day I am still very grateful!
Most recently (Nov 2016) I have couch surfed with hosts in Bellingham and Port Angeles, Washington. You can see references from these hosts on my friend Jessica's profile (my travel partner): https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/jessica-ward
