Aloha, my name is Claire Rossi de Leon, I am originally from Hawaiʻi. I work in the environmental sector; I just graduated with my Master's of Environmental Management in 2022. I have worked for two years for the National Park Service in Hawai'i, but recently left the service to travel full-time. My love for travel was instilled by my parents; I have many fond memories of cramming into tiny cars with my dad's triathlon gear, living in Madagascar, and making friends all over the world. I have studied/done research in New Zealand and Argentina, and have traveled for fun to many other places.

In Australia, I spent a month couchsurfing and hitchhiking down the east coast. This was a formative experience for me, not only in that I was able to meet many locals and make great friends, but also that it showed me the kindness of strangers. This form of travel not only makes for better stories, but allows me to more deeply understand a place and its people.

I am traveling with my partner Brit: we are starting with Iceland and then on to the rest of Europe. We’re so excited to meet you!

I studied howler monkeys in Argentina for a summer and spent everyday sunrise to sunset o see sing them. I also swam with elephants in Thailand. I love wildlife!
