I suffer from anxiety and it gets worse when traveling, even though traveling is my favorite thing to do, ever. Having someone around to treat me like a friend, even if I just met them, really, really helps.

I wrote a memoir about tall-ship sailing. I write indie music and book reviews. I'm working on a screenplay and a stage play. Basically, I write everything.

The wind on the North Coast of Ireland. Sailing through a gale around Vancouver Island. Partying with the locals and my ship's crew on the rock in the Atlantic known as Ascension, then watching sea turtles lay their eggs in the moonlight.
