ABOUT ME

I'm a student from the University of Texas, but I'm spending my last year as an undergrad in Paris, attending La Sorbonne Nouvelle.

I spent the last 4 years in Austin, Texas. I truly love that city and the people in it.

I learned some Spanish through friends I made at the various restaurant jobs I had- a better way to learn than any class offered at university. I have studied French for 8 years and am now finally able to speak it on a daily basis which is exciting.

What to do after the end of my year in Paris is a big question mark now. I'm going to volunteer on an organic farm (wwoofing) in either France or Spain next summer.

I'm doing a bit of volunteer work for an organization in Paris which facilitates direct farmer to consumer sales. I also teach English classes to kiddos once a week.

PHILOSOPHY

My momma has always instilled in me that situations don't determine happiness, you do. I like that idea. I guess a goal of mine is to completely own my happiness, and not let anyone/thing else have control of it.

I'm also attempting to align myself with this philosophy- and I think it's good advice for anyone:

"when the passions become masters, they are vices" -Montaigne

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just went to Beijing for 2 weeks to visit my mom and explore the city. It was an amazing trip!
