À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Live with conviction and compassion
ABOUT ME
I want to learn more. I want to be the change I hope to see in the world (thank you Gandhi). I want to laugh a lot.
PHILOSOPHY
"La utopía está en el horizonte. Me acerco dos pasos, ella se aleja dos pasos. Camino diez pasos y el horizonte se desplaza diez pasos más allá. Por mucho que camine, nunca la alcanzaré. Entonces, ¿para qué sirve la utopia? Para eso: sirve para caminar."
"Utopia is on the horizon. I move two steps closer, it moves two steps further away. I walk another ten steps and the horizon runs ten steps further away. As much as I may walk, I'll never reach it. So what's the point of utopia? The point is this: to keep walking"
- Eduardo Galeano
I also believe in laughter and love.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I love the CS mentality and the type of people it attracts. These are people who appreciate small, beautiful moments in life and continue to seek them out, who trust and share easily. I love learning something from each new person I meet.
Centres d'intérêt
I love dancing, laughing, cooking, stories, music, sunshine, reading, yoga, rock climbing, running, hiking, good friends, big cups of tea and coffee when it's cold, ice cold beer when it's hot, used book stores, autumn afternoons, exploring, picnics, concerts, so many more...

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I love all music I can dance to but especially samba, salsa, forro, the hip-hop that's good for dancing, and anything that evokes a powerful emotion, like the calm of good jazz, the soul-stirring satisfaction of blues and R&B, the exhilaration of latin music, and the general awe of great musicians.
I like books set in other places, maybe because it makes me think I'm there? And books that teach me things by pulling me into someone else's story. Some of my favorites are anything by Tom Robbins, Margaret Atwood, Julia Alvarez, Mountains Beyond Mountains, God of Small Things, I'll get back to you when I look at my bookshelf again...
Some movies I love: The Lives of Others, Fargo, The Constant Gardener, the classics from my childhood like Sister Act II (love Lauryn Hill!) and 9 to 5
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
There's so much I want to learn I don't even know where to begin! Well obviously dancing and cooking, two of my favorite things, and I'm always trying to learn new ways of doing them. I recently started learning to play the djembe, which is so much harder than it looks! Help me?
I also want to learn how to tell stories - I'm a terrible story teller, but I love hearing them.
I want to learn anything that's unique about YOU because that's the beautiful thing about couch surfing - you learn things you never imagined or expected.
I can teach...baking! I love making cookies or pretty much anything sweet.
How to dance salsa, samba, modern dance, forro, some yoga, some languagues...
