CURRENT MISSION

Keep my fun-loving traveller's spirit alive while my partner and I return to the grind in Australia!! ARRRGHH!!! We want to keep having surfers through our place so that we can stay connected to that moving, diverse world that we love. My partner will soon become a registered doctor in Australia (big task) and I'll be improving my professional skills so that we can leave the city eventually and go working, travelling, living and exploring again all at once.

ABOUT ME

I'm 28, I live in Madrid with my partner, Laura. I'm an English teacher (with a variety of extra subjects generally thrown in there), I love my job and will continue doing so while I'm overseas. I always want to meet some more local spaniards, as well as some international travellers or students, make some friends and find a place where I can host some people coming through.

PHILOSOPHY

I live in the pursuit of happiness, like most of the human race, and believe it lies in experience. I love to debate and discover, forge new ideas through discussion, particularly through intercultural experiences, which is why I love couchsurfing. A truly intercultural experience on a global level, as difficult as most people find it, will salvage much of what I believe the world blindly and greedily jeopardises every day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had immense courchsurfing experience, all across Europe, in Australia, North Africa and South America. I recommend it to all. I've made some amazing friends through the initiative and am thankful for it.

Interests

Music, i'm a rocker, and carry an acoustic guitarist and love a rocking 70's/90's sing-song. Sport, anything i can take on, especially football (the world game), i'm an active person so give me half a chance and I'll hit you up for it. Travel: A passion that is emerging as my lifestyle. Education and Philosophy. Family and friends, i'm a lover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stand on Uluru in Australia. Suddenly leave home after school, return a year later after going round Aus and feeling the accomplishment, the pride and the passion.
Climb Ben Nevis in a blizzard too.
Was locked up in a Turkish prison for 4 days before being deported to Australia over a passport fuck-up.
Studying in Spanish in Spain.
Camping and hitchhiking across the Mediterranean for 2 months.
Skydiving.
Trekking through the Sahara in a Sand Storm
