Hello there! After finishing my studies, I am currently realizing my life dream of biking along the silk road, from Switzerland all the way to China!

I am: stumbling through life, driven by curiosity, trying to get a sense to it.

I am really bad at describing myself, but I guess, what defines me the most: I am an avid learner, I love to experience new things, and I love to cook for people. I love to have a glimpse at different world views, life experiences, ways of being; and being able to discuss with people over some red wine or a beer -- be it about the weather, a critial approach to humanitarian work, the place I'm staying at (hopefully yours:), our role in this world, film and architecture, or why there can never be enough chocolate in anything!

Things I like: travelling, the mountains, reading, intuition, flea markets, cycling, cinema and the making thereof, experiences, the first coffee in the morning, concerts, people opening up, nonsense, spotting small details on houses, avid discussions, hiking, trying (and more often failing) to think logically, cooking and sharing recipes, immediacy, nature taking over urban spaces, humbleness, taking too many factors into a decision, the ocean, swimming in it, scuba diving, failing at surfing, learning by doing, laughing out loudly, having ideas too big for oneself, trying new food, and handwriting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet some new and local people along my big trip, to share stories, a meal, an experience!

I feel way too inexperienced still to teach you anything of substance, but since I went to medical school, I guess I can offer some advice in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (that you hopefully won't ever need) - or in baking cakes (I procrastinated a lot as a student).
