Overview
About Me
I'm a 22-year-old student doing my Bachelor in Hispanic, Portuguese and Brazilian Studies in London. I was born in Barcelona (Spain) but when I was 10 months my family moved to Paris (France), where we stayed for six years. In the last two years I lived in three different countries, two of which are Portugal and Brazil. Speaking Portuguese changes my mood, really. It makes me so happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Many friends told me about their Couchsurfing experiences and recommended me to do it.
In addition, in the last two year I got very conscious about the consequences mass tourism creates. Barcelona, as other European capitals, is disappearing. That is, the Barcelona I knew when I was a child, not to say the Barcelona of my parents or my grandparents. Traditional shops are disappearing, consumption habits are changing and are only addressed to tourists. It's an absolute jungle.
So, being conscious of the importance of my acts, I think couchsurfing is a good chance to, at least, not to contribute to savage mass tourism.
Interests
I started practicing capoeira a couple of months ago, in Lisbon. The classes were outdoors, in front of the river Tejo. This was so good, not only because you could feel the sun and the wind on your skin but also because I get sick when I practice sports in a classroom! What I like from capoeira it's not just the movements, but also the music and the philosophy behind all the capoeira performance, which I'm currently discovering.
I'm a crazy dancer, no matter the place nor the time. It's always a good moment to "mexer a bunda"! I particularly like dancing all musics with Brazilian or West African drums.
I really like cooking, specially breakfasts, for other people. Sharing the first meal of the day, with good food, and in a relaxed environment is the best way to begin the day!

Music, Movies, and Books
After reading Daniel Pennac's "Comme un roman" I got my passion for reading back.
Currently reading Kapuściński's "The Emperor".
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you tasty breakfasts and meals and also learn new cuisine techniques and recipes.
I'll also be happy to teach you some Spanish, Catalan and/or Portuguese in case you are interested in learning these languages. As for me, I need to practice my French because it's getting rusty. I'm also interested in Arabic and Italian.
