Hello and welcome! My name is Clara, I'm a 30 year old woman living in Norfolk, England, but work all over the UK as part of my job. I love to travel and try to go abroad at least once every few years when money allows for it. My favourite type of travelling is solo, with a backpack and living out of hostels, cars and couches, because I find it's the best way to meet like minded people and share experiences. I love meeting new people and spending time out and about, although I do like some alone time to wind down at the end of a day.

Being outdoors is something I enjoy and really like nature in all it's glory. I come from a rural county so I'm used to farms, woodlands and sea, and that's what I love! In the past I've been big into weight lifting, climbing and archery, although the last few years due to various back problems have meant I've been out of touch with it all.

I'm a huge nerd with a great love for Star Wars, James Bond, video games for PC, console and everything in between, films, books, board games, card games and more! I used to work as a film projectionist for a cinema in England and one in New Zealand and had a great passion for the industry, although my interest has waned over the years after digital projectors made my sort redundant, and 25mm was replaced by fancy tech. :P

I absolutely adore dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as any other animal. My own dog, Morse, is a border collie with a big personality, great intelligence and a whole lot of energy! If you have dogs then I'll be extra pleased to see them!

I'm very liberal, a huge supporter of equality and believe people should live how they want to live so long as it doesn't harm others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a great way to meet new people and truly learn about their country. I love to experience things other people are interested in and learn new stuff, but I am also equally fine to be left to my own devices and go out and about by myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I like practically anything and everything, my taste being eclectic to the max. My favourite sort of genres are things like electro swing, punk and electronic, but I also really enjoy some cheesy pop now and again too! Bands I like include: Rob Dougan, Caravan Palace, Gogol Bordello, Prodigy and many more!

Films and books I love are almost any of the James Bond series, as well as lots and lots of Star Wars!

I don't have much to give in return for the kind offer of a couch, but I can provide stories and open discussions, as well as understanding company and a good laugh.
