About Me

I am currently studying Speech Language Pathology (Orthophonie) in Montreal. My future traveling projects include visiting Japan, China, Greece and going back to Armenia.

I cannot host at the moment, as I am still living with my parents, but I would love to host travellers in the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think finding hosts through Couchsurfing would be a great way to discover a city or country through the people who live in it, and a fantastic way to make friends from all over the world :)

Interests

I like taking walks around a city or hikes in a beautiful landscape, learning about different cultures (art, cinema, architecture, religion and spirituality). I like finding cute coffeeshops, cool bars and fun places to go dancing!

Trying to get into winter biking and generally trying to stay fit, so I'm always down to work out as I would usually (skating, swimming, running, yoga, climbing occasionally...) or to try something new! Also I really want to try pole dancing as a sport one day but classes in Montreal are so darn expensive :'(

I have a husky at home and I'd love to meet your dog if you have one!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My interests range from jazz to psychedelic rock. Currently, I am listening to a lot of Tame Impala, because I find that their music is dreamy. I also really like Grizzly Bear, the XX, Lana del Rey, Ibeyi, Beach House, Arctic Monkeys, Radiohead and many others! I am not very restrictive about the music I listen to, other than the fact that I don't like when song lyrics are mysoginistic or racist.

Movies: Some of my favorites are Crias Cuervos (for the song "Porque te vas"), Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain, Run Lola Run, In Bruges, and the BBC mini-series adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. This list is non-exhaustive and I may add more later on.

Books: I don't read enough these days!!! But some of the books that marked me the most are Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, The World According to Garp, The Invention of Wings and L'étranger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once walked for more than 10 hours under the sun in Israel. I only took a few pictures here and there because I was trying to conserve my phone battery in case of an emergency, but I can assure you that the image of that valley will stay in my memory for as long as I live!

I'm hoping to fill this category with more exciting things in the coming years ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been learning the guitar on my own for a little while, but I would love to become as good as Django Reinhardt one day, so any help is welcome!
If there happens to be a skating rink in the area, I would be glad to teach you how to skate (or just to show off), as I have been a figure skater for half of my life.
I love to learn about the art, cinema, literature, history and culture of the countries/cities I visit, and I would be more than happy to share what I know about the countries I've visited.
I also like talking about philosophy, language and linguistics, psychology, religion, science, anything really (even politics!), and I would love to learn about what my hosts have studied or worked on!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Vegetarian/vegan cooking, cleaning, knowledge about kombucha culture and maintenance, conversation and hopefully a few laughs :)
