When I was twelve I decided to travel the world after I finish school. It was always my dream to see the world and meet new people. This was also what my friend Celine wanted to do so we decided instead of going alone to go together. In March 2017 we are going to leave school and after working for two month we want to start our around the world tour in june. The countrys we are going to visit are Cuba, Panama, the US, the Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. We are travelling with an around the world ticket and hoping not to miss a flight because we don´t have a huge amount of money with us. In this 9 month of travelling we want to see as much as possible of the world and make as much experiences as possible (hopefully not to many bad ones).

Celine and I first met in art class in school, what we both choosed for our A-Level. We are both shareing the love for art, travelling, and for the sea and the belief in always doing what you want and loving yourself.

After our around the world tour Celine would like to study art and I would like to study social work, but first we are going to see the world and maybe this will change our mind, so we are doing something different. Both of us know that we don´t want to live in the same place our whole life so we would like to move to a city like Berlin or Hamburg for studying.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We decided to sign in to couchsurfing because as I said before we want to experience the world, make the best of our tour and see the most of every country. I think you can only experience a country as it actually is, when living with people in this country. We learned this in different school exchanges to France, Rwanda, Ireland and Sicily and don´t want to miss this experiences in any country we are going to see in the future. Couchsurfing is actually one of the only ways to see a country in this way and we are glad that we have the possibility to do it.
