Hiya! I am a film student specialising in production design and art direction. I currently live in LA, but I've lived in Korea all my life before that. So far I have three objectives to accomplish before I die: a. direct a music video for one of my favourite bands of all time, b. creative executive or concept artist for a theme park or a stop motion studio, c. quit whatever job I'm at when I'm 29 and travel for a year, and finally d. dedicate my life to teaching the art of art and interaction. Don't know if objective c would work out, but hopefully it'll happen if I say it enough.

I seriously listen, read, and watch a lot.

I love bright, happy, pop, playful music. I listen to pretty much everything -- jazz, jazz, jazz, and jazz... no, but I love brass in general. Other than that, though, I love folk with hints of psychidelia, pop punk, swing, rock n' roll, electro swing, neo-tango, and some brands of EDM. Basically, I've done college radio and some audio engineering for live venues, so I listen to quite a variety. My favourite band of all time is Queen. My other favourite musical acts are, but not limited to, Epik High, fun., Grouplove, Electric Light Orchestra, Simon and Garfunkel, The Monkees, Michael Jackson, Frankie Vali, Kishi Bashi, Sufjan Stevens, The Magnetic Fields, Gotan Project, Pomplamoose, Primary, Caro Emerald, Kamasi Washington, Sun Ra, Frank Sinatra, Arturo Sandoval, Fleet Foxes, Don Ellis, Donny McCaslin, Giraffage, and the list goes on!

Some of my favourite films of all time are The Dark Knight, Sunset Boulevard, Big Fish, Life of Pi, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Call Me By Your Name, Trip to the Moon, Singin' in the Rain, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The Red Shoes, Suspiria, Funeral Parade of Roses, The Science of Sleep, and Wild Strawberries. I like films that are really pretty, and if they're super visually intriguing I'll likely look over any plotholes or flimsiness. I am also very obssessed with Mickey Mouse and Totoro. (Speaking of which, I firmly stand by my opinion that Miyazaki's best film is Totoro)

My favourite books of all time are Harry Potter (which isn't amazing in prose but it made me a bookworm), Life of Pi, The Adventures of Kavalier and Klay, and Tale of Two Cities.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Spontaneously extending my Europe trip just days before I was supposed to leave! But that trip was full of amazing things I've never done before in general. I was backpacking alone for almost two months. During the time I went paragliding at Luzerne, Switzerland, and jumped off a small cliff at Croatia. I forgot how to swim but I survived anyway

I can teach you the basics of the languages I already speak and if you have children or adolescents, tips and tricks to writing a creative short story! I'm also a huge history nerd, so if you want to hear my takes on religion and history, Korean history, as well as East Asian history, I could go on for really long. If you're willing to talk about film, I am also so down too!

Otherwise I am open to learning anything that I don't know, from languages to local history and folklore.
