I'm Clara, a 20 year-old from Germany. I just finished school last year, then did 7 months of Military Service( just because I could and was curious) and am currently just in between things. Starting October 2018 I am going to study Computer sciences in Munich as a "duales Studium"...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 15 I spent a year abroad in Utah, US and it has been the most life changing experience of my life so far. It opened me up to the whole world of exploring different cultures, without me knowing that it hasn't been there before. Such a huge adventure can change everything about a person: your mindset, interest and view on the world and it has done all those things for me!

On of the quotes we were told while preparing for our year abroad was: "It's not better or worse, just different." And as easy as it sounds, every time you visit a different place, you instantly start judging and comparing. But my experiences abroad taught me, that this quote is totally true! There are so many amazing things to do, people to meet or experiences to be made if we just accept the things simply as being "different". Without any judgement or comparison...
