Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
Travel. Make the most of the day. Be and do what makes you happy. :)
ABOUT ME
One of the things I remember about my childhood is that my parents always traveled as much as possible with us kids. Even though I don’t remember nearly as much of the travels themselves as I wish I would, I believe that it had a huge impact on my values and way of living now. Ever since, I have taken every opportunity I could get to see more of the world and learn more about other cultures. And it really is like an addiction, once you've started, the chances are pretty low, that you'll stop any time soon.
Apart from that.. I just finished my master's in neuroscience, and taking a break before I start my PhD in February. I like to make the most of my day, to keep myself active, to get engaged, to be outside and around people. I am calm, honest, easy going and open. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short, make the most of it.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing a few years ago, during my gap year in Canada. I worked and lived at a school, and since we spent most of our time on campus, we hadn't really gotten the chance to have the full Canadian experience and meet many locals. Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to couchsurf a lot since then - but all my stays and the people I stayed with were just amazing.
I am a big fan of hostels and I love meeting people from all over the world, that are keen to travel and I have met so many amazing and inspiring people on my travels and along the road and in hostels. But I would also like to meet locals and visit the place in a non-touristy way - and I think Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to do that and just a much more personal, interesting and also inspirational way to travel. :)

Going on exchange to India for a semester at the age of 15.
Building and sleeping in an igloo in Canada.
Watching the sunrise at above 3000 m in the Alps.
Seeing a volcano erupt in Guatemala.
Swimming with plancton in Colombia.
And thinking about it, all of the things I can come up with, they are all related to traveling or living in a different environment or country. :)
