ABOUT ME

I love to know what makes people tick. I make friends easily and am very loyal and dependable. I have an inherent need to know where I am. In second grade I wrote the three things I wanted to be when I grew up they were Adventurer, Ballerina, Comedian; they all still stand. I'm a Scorpio, I think astrology is funny. I'm not afraid to say what I think, but I work very hard to understand the opinions of those around me. I get anxiety about silly things, like thinking I need to read every good book ever written, see every good movie ever made, visit every amazing place you can think of, try all the best food in the world and wondering when I'll possibly have time for all of that.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had a terrible experience couch surfing in Italy that lead to making some of the best memories of my life. I want to host people and help create some of their best memories also.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was living with some friends in Honolulu when they accepted two Brazilian couch surfers for a week. We had a blast with them. They were polite, kept the living room neat and organized. Were more than capable of taking care of them selves and then we had a great night partying together swapping cultural differences in food, drink and laughs. It was an amazing and I have always wanted to expand on that good time, with more good couch surfers.

I visited Sicily with my cousin in August of 2012. Our host told us we would have our own bed before we got there. Then when we were there announced we were all sharing a queen. He tried to convince both my cousin and I to sleep with him for hours and inappropriately touched both of us. Luckily for us, the first night we went out (before he showed his true colors), he took us to a party where we made fast friends with some amazing people. We contacted them the next day after a hellish night of creeping fingers and flashing penises, and they agreed to host us the rest of our time in Palermo.

Interessen

I'm comfortable doing nothing but read for days or working my butt off for weeks. I like to party and go on adventures. I love eating, cooking, drinking, making, talking about coffee, drinking good wine and beer, reading, watching movies, TV, and plays, dancing, singing, laughing, listening, swimming, boot camp, day dreaming, driving, hiking, playing games, going to acting class, snowboarding, seeing old friends, making new friends.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

The Princess Bride, The Wedding Singer, Hairspray (the first one), I love SO many movies, I watch movies all the time, the list is so long.

I love to listen to so much music from every genre, sometimes even country. My favorites are The Presidents of the United States of America, Atmosphere, Ani DiFranco and Sublime.

If I could get paid to read, I would. I love Barbara Kingsolver, Ann Patchett, Ken Follett, everything.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Hiking with my cousin Loren to the highest point on Lanai then running all the way back down, but we stopped at one point and sat down over looking this valley with clouds rushing through it that were below us, and the way the clouds were moving mixed with the rush of the hard exercise gave us the sensation that the world was moving and the clouds were standing still.

Countless times over the last two years I'll turn a corner in New York City and look up and see some amazing building or view I hadn't seen before. I get this rush of yearning to know who built all of these buildings, why? who did the detail work? What were the people like? What goes on inside? It makes me feel so lucky to live in such a diverse different sort of place.

Standing at the top of the bowl at Squaw in Tahoe knowing I'm not going to get down without falling but I'm going to fly anyway.
