About Me

ABOUT ME

I study International Relations and Diplomacy in The Netherlands, currently doing an internship in Jakarta. I've always been a bit of a nomad, but I might stay in Holland, I'm not learning that language for nothing! I like strong coffee, I always crave sushi and my dream house would have shelves instead of walls (and a view to the sea, because dreaming is free).

PHILOSOPHY

Easy going, I adapt to (almost) anything. Nothing makes me happier than sharing life stories with other people. It's always better with a cold beer, but I'm not picky.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I can't host anyone at the moment because I barely have space for myself, but that will change soon (hopefully!). I don't have much experience in couchsurfing, but the little I have has been great.

Interests

Traveling is always top on my list. A beach and a good book will make my day. I like cinema and talking about it, but not if it gets pretentious. I write for myself because I can include swear words and that feels great. I like rugby and will always support Italy in the Six Nations, because life is not about winning. But mostly, I like to be surrounded by friends and family.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler

Films: To Kill a Mockingbird, City of God, Requiem for a Dream, Oldboy, Kubrick, Wes Anderson and anything from Almodovar because he's just great

Books: Gabriel García Márquez, Juan Rulfo, Cortázar, Eduardo Galeano, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Chinua Achebe...and Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most impressive thing I have ever seen is the pyramids of Yaxhá, in Guatemala, only comparable to the Borobudur temple in Indonesia.

I can share a good time and a good story.
