About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning from different cultures and people those new ways of "doing" that can make my life richer
ABOUT ME

I'm an optimistic woman who always tries to find the positive part of every event, even when I'm sad.
I can be very quiet and tranquil or explosive and active.

I am very interested in different cultures, the way people live their lives in different ways fascinates me and I learn a lot from it.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that, if something goes in a way you didn't expect, it doesn't mean that is bad. That is the moment when you can think what is going on, why did you think something else was better and start enjoying the unexpected situation.
I trully believe that we have a lot to learn, from everything, from everybody. Even when we think something is stupid, boring, wrong, painful,...

Expectation means frustration: it is not possible that reality's exactly how we imagined it was going to be. Let's let life give us what it has.

Plans are just an entertainment. I enjoy making them, but being aware that nothing will turn out exactly how I planned.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had the luck to find a flatmate and friend through couchsurfing and stay with him for over 7 months. The experience was great, I was sure I could find someone great and trustworthy in this CS world.

I was also hosted during 3 weeks by another couchsurfer, with whom I got to build a great relationship that will be extended by his visit to me in my hometown.

And, during a trip in Germany with a friend, we stayed for two nights with an awesome girl who showed us her city and life!

THE REASON WHY I LOVE COUCHSURFING
I really like the idea of getting to know a culture, a city, through a person who is part of it. I do not like to check the most important sites in a city anymore: I like to go wherever my feet take me or where I am taken by someone who lives and knows the placE: even if that is the supermarket.
I also love the part of being in somebodies house, which to me means that I get to see something of how the people in that specific place live. That you don't get in a hostel or, worse, in a hotel!

And, of course, the unforgettable part of meeting new and interesting people!

Interests

People. I think we need people to be happy, to learn about the world but also about ourselves.
Education, social policies, politics, social integration, ... subjects related to how our lives are strongly influenced by the decisions made by others and how we can have a great impact on how to change what we don't like.
I am also into yoga and knowing how the body and mind work.
feminism,

Lately I am very interested in questioning all those ideas that "are like this because they've always been". I want to at least consider why that is and if I agree with it before I let certain traditional/conventional conceptions automatically be part of the way I live life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't like violent-bloody-scary movies. I don't enjoy feeling bad and restless while watching a movie. But that doesn't mean I like "easy movies". NO.

I like music. In general. From electronic to latina. Rock, indie, classical. All of them are great to enjoy and dance with!

Books... anykind, I love reading.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some of my culture, my cooking skills or some conversations about many different topics: I love sharing and learning from other people and I think that talking to others makes us create a more complex reasoning.
