ABOUT ME

I am someone who is endlessly curious about the world around me, and always up for discovery or exploration of places, cultures, foods, languages, and dances. I love to meet new people and believe that there is something to learn from everyone. I am classically trained in the piano and violin, and absolutely love to cook (especially cooking with and for others). I'm openminded to new experiences and would describe myself as a compassionate individual who is looking to explore the wonderful world of the human experience throug travel and connection.

I'm currently a student at the University of Toronto studying Psychology and Diaspora and Transnational Studies. I am a big believer in the importance of interdisciplinary studies, and have done research on the intersections of race/gender/class and knowledge of social justice issues in adolescents, as well as research on integrating Buddhist concepts into psychotherapy. I'm interested in exploring ways to improve and change our overarching education paradigm, and our social welfare system.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that life is a process. It's a process of self-discovery and contribution through connecting with others and engaging in new experiences. A sense of openmindedness will open possibilities and opportunities that may inspire you in ways never imagined. I believe that we create meaning in our lives and that we should live to contribute positively to others.Live with kindness, compassion, openness, and positivity.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm very new to couchsurfing, but have indirectly hosted a few courchsurfers and had very positive experiences from those times. I am happy to share a new traveller in Toronto the best places to explore here.

兴趣

I love to cook. One of my favourite ways of discovering new flavours and textures is simply by going into a super market or opening my fridge and seeing what is available to put together. I enjoy discovering new places and learning new languages.I would be very excited if you could teach me a new and useful skill, or if you were interested in arts/crafts. I love do-it-yourself projects.Sharing stories about memorable and special experiences. Discovering new and beautiful music. Creating art using different mediums. I'm interested in good experiences, making new friends, and laughter.

In 2009, I was travelling in Peru and climbed to a peak that had an amazing view of Machu Picchu, despite being incredibly sick in the morning.
