I consider myself a friendly, open-minded and easy going person. I'm very curious, interested and I love to meet new people.
I'm currrently doing my Masters in Mannheim - a city I totally fell in love with over the years.

My goal, when traveling, is to experience a different country and culture for what it is. I don't like hanging around in touristy places, having a look at the polished top ten places of cities. Instead I try to get an impression outside the main attractions, which - for me - means to simply spend some time in a place, drinking coffee in local coffeeshops and strolling around the different areas. This is why I also try to stay and meet with locals when I'm traveling and Couchsurfing enables me to do that (as well as friends of course).
I'm very thankful that there are so many nice people in this world who open up there houses to strangers and try to give them a great experience - and I like to be a part of that.

My experiences as a host so far have been great and I got the chance to meet very diverse, interesting and lovely people.

Intereses

I love travelling and getting to know new places and people. In my free time I'm doing sports - mainly climbing at the moment - , meet friends and do lots of cooking. I enjoy being outside, going for walks, but I also love staying at home or in a café, having a good coffee and talk or debate for hours. As I'm currently working at a local coffee roasters I can assure to always have great coffee in the house. I'm pretty much interested in nearly everything and there are few things that I don't enjoy doing :)

I'm happy to share my good temper and stories/experiences! Since I'm a foodie, I'd be more than happy to prepare a dinner or lunch (special requests welcome ;)), bring some good coffee around or bake some muffins.
