About Me

ABOUT ME

I am from Colombia. I am a creative and optimistic oriented thinker. I studied industrial design, worked in interior design, branding, packaging, and nowadays I team up as a business developer for an architectural company. Keeping your mind activated with the mindset of traveling, gets you to experience an enriched perspective of life, through meaning, impact, connection, inspiration, learning, people and memories, beyond the cities themselves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There’s no better way to really understand the world (outside and, the inner world as well, I have to say) through the minds of the local friends and your own conscience of your fears or powers, what makes you feel amazed or humble about what you still have to learn. I think I’m quitting the “tourism” concept. I believe in the community sense of traveling and travel friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

It’s a wide selection. Let’s have a moment just to listen my playlist… from ALL Brazilian MPB Music, to
Matt Simons Catch and Release.

Movies: White Bird, 3 idiots, Life itself, The Hundred-Foot Journey, and an all times movie: Karate Kid.

Books! Well, I like to read about stuff related to design, human behavior, my work… can’t mention any particular.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• Dived in San Andrés Island
• Being amazed by an upside-down fire
• Listened to a synesthetic piano experience of a leaf with colorful light
• Met a musician that went on hiking with a piano (small, but still!) to recording an amazing video about a song inspired by his own life challenging and survival experience.
• Best sunsets with a mix of life stories, art, design, architecture and internacional friends from Poland, Japan, Turkey, Kuwait, Colombia, USA, India.
• Challenging myself to overcome the uncertainty
• Learnt to remember this feeling of gratitude and say it Outloud: “Thank you life!”
• I met an exceptional chemical engineer who recycles metals from batteries, and I biked with him along the paths of Amsterdam.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A moment to reconnect with your own discoveries and memories or stories; an inspiration for you to remember to add a traveling vibe to your city and your day to day. Gratitude, for being present and for being someone from whom I can learn. I will share my favorites with you: my own -flavors, place findings, music, serendipities in general-, because I mainly love to share what has awakened in me the sense of wonder. Coffee if you like!!
