I'm Couchsurfing because I want to not only see as much of the world as I can, but also meet and befriend the people in the places I go. I think connecting with any given community is the quickest way to really engage with a place, and it's the best way I can think of to travel.

I worked as a horseback riding instructor in northern Michigan for two summers. On one of our Saturdays off, we took our favorite horses up to a clearing on top of a hill and galloped as fast as we could while the sun set.
