I live in Brighton, UK, and I work at the moment with teenagers with autism, as well as with adults using narrative arts, storytelling and puppetry! I have always worked in mental health and therapy, and I like to find innovative ways for people to work through life challenges and find meaning and purpose.

I love being by the sea, as well as travelling to the countryside to be in nature. I grew up in a small village but I have lived in Brighton now for over 20 years, and I love how quirky and diverse it is. I have travelled in France, stayed in Slovenia and been to Algeria many times.

I want to travel with my teenage children and I believe that the best way to get to know a country is to stay with people in their homes, get to know more about the culture, the language and different ways of life. I would love my children to be able to appreciate opportunities to meet people with diverse life experiences and worldviews, and to inspire them to travel, learn and make friends.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love 'The famished road' by Ben Okri, as well as books on existential philosphy and psychology, like works by RD Laing, Fanon, Camus, Yalom.... I read a lot of research papers too, because I am a bit of a geek really!

I have listened to a lot of 90s French-Algerian Rap, like Lotfi DK, MBS etc.....! I loved the 90s UK Indie music, the Verve, Portishead, Radiohead....but also before that the Cure and the Smiths... I used to love old school rave too though....!

Old French films are always enjoyable, because often they seem very 'real' and there are no happy endings....I like a bit of grit and realism. I hope to see 'The Stranger' as it's based on a Camus novel. Many years ago I watched 'Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring' which is a beautiful Korean language film - watch it! I always liked 'La Haine' because of it's depiction of the banlieues in Paris....

I am a psychotherapist with an interest in different cultural views of psychology, philosophy, mental health, wellbeing, stories, narratives and storytelling.

I am also a meditation and mindfulness teacher, as well as running narrative arts projects, and I can provide workshops on exploring narratives, meaning-making and identities. I work with materials, art and puppets!

I have taught English in the past at schools in the UK, so I could also help with English speaking, writing or vocabulary. I used to prepare international students for the IELTS exams and supported university students in subjects like Psychology, Philosophy and Social Work studies, so I can help with proof-reading or presentations, as well as with referencing texts.
