About Me
I graduated from university over a year ago, having no clue what I wanted do, except that I wanted to travel. So for the last year I have been saving up, working a retail 9-5 job and preparing for a 6 month+ trip across Europe. And who knows, maybe I'll end up travelling for 6 years, I'm trying to develop a more 'go with the flow' attitude' and challenge myself to live simplistically, independently and spontaneously.
I have been eating plant based (vegan) for the last 2 and half years and am very interested in sustainable living like permaculture and zero waste. I also love to learn about spirituality and philosophy, as well as the diverse cultures around the world. I specialised in fine art photography while studying, with themes of spirituality, feminism and performance, and although I no longer make photographs, I am a big art lover and fascinated by these ideas.
I am looking to do lots of Workaways, HelpX and WWOOFing placements on my trip through Europe.
I have already travelled through Portugal and Spain, volunteering at music festivals and eco farms as well as hiking the Camino de Santiago, a major highlight of my trip.
I am currently in Greece for the months of January and February 2019.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am about to embark on my first long term backpacking trip, starting in Scotland, and then Portugal and making my way around Europe for at least 6 months. Couchsurfing seems to be a great way of meeting generous, like minded people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't take credit for this, but I once found a photograph of my mother in an exhibition at Museum Africa, Johannesburg, from the 80's when she protested against the apartheid in South Africa. I felt very proud that she fought for justice in such an unjust world. I hope to follow in her footsteps.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I am quite shy, I LOVE deep and philosophical conversations and can talk for hours. I love singing in relaxed environments, if you're musical, we can totally jam, if not, then I can provide nice background music :) I also love plant based/vegan cooking so can cook you up a healthy meal! I also make jewellery from stones and crystals I find.
