About Me

Born and raised in Nebraska, the very smack dab middle of the USA. Midwestern kindness, work ethic, and care for community are parts of my upbringing that I will always hold on to!

I've moved around a lot since graduating college, concentrating my time around the Southwest and West. Lived in Arizona and worked in advertising for 4 years, and saved up to later quit my job and travel Mexico, the US and Canada in my self converted CR-V for 6 months. Along the way I found a job to lead outdoor trips with school groups, which changed my life from there forward. Integrating travel and work makes me the happiest, and the outdoors are my home.

After the CR-V

CURRENT ADVENTURE

My travels now bring to Southeast Asia where I will work and travel for 5 months:
Singapore
Kota Tinggi
Tioman Island
Cameron Highlands
Bali

Month of May is open for fun travel time! I'll be jumping off from Bali so I'm entertaining many possibilities, including but not limited to:
Motorbiking Vietnam end to end
Climbing in Thailand
Diving certification in Malaysia
Yoga certification anywhere in SEA (?!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To find community and other amazing travelers or locals that want to share their favorite parts of their favorite places.

The most meaningful part of travel for me is the connections I make along the way.

Interests

The outdoors are my #1 priority when finding activities while traveling. Anything that tests my limits and teaches me new things gets me really excited.

In 2019 I have goals to improve my abilities in:

Free Diving
Spear Fishing
Hiking
Yoga
Hula Hooping / Hoop Dance
Nature Education and Conservation

Of course I also love trying amazing new food, meeting new people, and seeing things that open my perspective. Sharing ideas and new experiences with other people helps us all to grow as people.
