Hello hello! I grew up in Austin, Texas and am a college student at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. I'm in my junior year as a French major and love learning anything related to language. I'm lucky to be spending this semester as a student in Montpellier, France. Learning how to get by in a country where I don't natively speak the language has been challenging and scary in ways I'll never forget, and that make for some funny stories.
I love stories more than anything else, and love getting to know people through exchanging stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm studying in Montpellier, France this semester and am using this opportunity to learn as much as I can about what I can't encounter in the U.S. It blows my mind that there's such an easily accessible network of people who are interested in sharing and trading their ideas by welcoming other explorers into their homes.

The best way to learn about a new place is by talking to the people who live there. Couchsurfing is a dream for an adventurer on a budget!

Getting from the Netherlands to Lyon to Montpellier after having lost my wallet. Not so glamorous, but a day I'll never forget.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My favorite foods are quesadillas, guacamole, and milkshakes. I'm a decent cook and could make any of these for a host, or could make one of your favorite dishes (or, more likely, follow your instructions)!
If you have a dog, I'd be excited to take it on walks. I'm happy to help out with any chores around the house as well.
