Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Clare,
I work seasonally as an ecologist and spend the winter season doing voluntary work abroad or travelling.
I have a passion for the environment and sustainable ways of living.
I love playing and listening to music, first and foremost and enjoy jamming on flute and guitar as well as singing.
I also love cooking and baking vegetarian and vegan food, going running and hiking, climbing, camping, cycling and general exploring. I'm also a big fan of swimming in the sea and paddling in streams, as well as yoga. I enjoy gardening and growing veggies when I can.
I'm aiming to become a qualified yoga instructor and massage therapist in the near future, so anyone willing to be guinea-pigs would be most welcome.
I'm a pretty friendly person, easy to get on with and I'll do my best to make anyone feel comfortable with me around, either when staying with other people or if they're staying with me.
We have a fluffy black cat called Jetty living with us in our shared house.

Love watching adventure films and romcoms.
I'm a big fan of reading and enjoy adventure and travel stories most.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Paid for a Swazi guy's uni accommodation during his final year, when he wouldn't have been able to continue otherwise.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love helping non-native speakers improve their English and love teaching any of the skills I have. I'd love to get better at playing guitar and learning new languages.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm always happy to cook up a good vegetarian meal! I also enjoy sharing travel stories, with a glass of wine.
