ABOUT ME

Hmm, well I can't think what to put here, so I guess that tells you that self-knowledge is not my thing. When I looked myself up in my College yearbook, to see what my friends think it is important to know about me, I found that I have a dirty mind and a pronounced tendency to argue about Shakespeare, which is pretty much true. I am also one of the most parochial people you're ever likely to meet, which means I like to travel vicariously by meeting other people and making them tell me about the far more interesting lives they've been leading in far flung places.

I live in a very famous city packed full of tourists, and enjoy showing people some of its less well known treasures (walks, views, pubs, architecture...).

I would love to see more of the world.

I'm willing to host (almost) anyone, and would love to go couchsurfing myself one day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, lots of fun. Har all sorts of interesting people to stay, who I'd never have met if I weren't signed up to this.

Books: Far too many to list. Anything Eighteenth Century, also PG Wodehouse, Anthony Powell, Shakespeare, Terry Pratchett... and anything with pictures.
