ABOUT ME

I moved to Saskatoon a year ago to start my Masters degree in Soil science... i was set on finding a good place to do my Masters. not always sure that I picked the right place, but it sure is a different experience living in the prairies! I'm enjoying it here for the most part, i like how much farming is a part of life here, amost everyone is from a farm. I love agriculture and I love growing food, and eating and cooking the food I've grown. I'm part of a big communal student garden at the university this year and plan to eat lots of veggies and do lots of canning. I love being outside, i love laughing and hanging out with comfortable people. like practicing my languages and learning new ones. i am always up for dancing. i get the travel itch quite often, and i'm also testing out staying in one place for 2 years! y family and good friends are really important to me.. and i want to meet more!

PHILOSOPHY

take time to cook and eat, and do it with other people.. what else do we really need to do besides eat? respect the soil because it gives us so much, and be patient with people because they're so interesting. laugh and dance as much as possible, and go for a run if you feel grumpy.

i haven't participated in awhile because life has been all over the place... but now i'm looking forward to being involved again. I have stayed with people while traveling, mostly in the states, and have hosted people as well.
