PHILOSOPHY

The world can be great. I love to meet my friends in different parts of the world.
I believe that food is a medium to discover a country :)

Interests

Food (Anything from sampling new cuisines, to trying out new recipes, to simply eating my local carrot cake and chicken rice)
Meaningful conversations with strangers
Travel and explore this huge world (Isn't this why we are all here?!)

Music, Movies, and Books

More of a TV series person and my favorites are definitely White collar and Suits.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is tough. First is having my student exchange in majestic Istanbul! It is beyond, beyond amazing. Second is travelling around Europe for 45 days in our 20s! Lots of hard work behind all that planning but it was really a wonderful eye-opener for us!

> Hike up an active volcano in Eastern Turkey
> Witnessed Stone hedge right before my face!
> Was near the border of Syria-Turkey when ISIS was occupying Kobane
> Couchsurf alone in Paris without knowing any French or having any backup plans
> Climbed up the Domo in Florence along with several hundreds of tourists
> Being alone late at night in the streets in Turkey
> Climbed up an abandoned castle in Turkey in sneakers :O
> Completely forgot to pick up my backpack and left it in the train station and got it back without anything missing (fortunately!)
> Accidentally left my money pouch and passport in a fitting room and everything was recovered (fortunately! )
>
> Caught in the middle of Tear gas and gun fire in a Dolmus

Teach, Learn, Share

CS is a great platform to enrich my hosts about Asia and Singapore! Singapore is such a small country that many people would neglect, and I am more than glad to share anything that would interest you about my country!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I believe that everyone must have their own unique experience somewhere in one point of their life, somehow. I m blessed enough to have encountered many interesting, unique and meaningful situations at such a young age during my 6 months of independent traveling, living overseas. I am truly blessed and fortunate :)
