ABOUT ME

I love to learn about new cultures and personal adventures by talking to people who have grown up in a different country or situation than myself. Spending time outdoors makes up a large part of my life (whether hiking, swimming or just wandering around with no particular plans) and I especially love being by the water.
I enjoy hunting out the artsy and slightly gritty neighbourhoods in cities - finding cozy tea shops and friendly bookstores to relax in. Both street art and gallery exhibitions interest me (especially Photography and fabric arts) and I love exploring the local arts and music scenes of the communities I visit.

Reading, photography, painting, hiking, cooking/baking, preserving, people watching, camping and watching hockey in the local pub.
I'm down for any sort of water related activity (SUPing, canoeing, kayaking, boating, surfing...)
I enjoy talking about all the above as well as environmental issues, life stories, art, psychology and philosophy.

I love to bake and cook, so I'm up to teach you how to make a few of my all time faves: chocolate brownies (black bean or regular), classic French chocolate tart, crêpes, lemon curd...
