Overview
About Me
I was born in Salvador, Bahia, then spent my childhood in Rio and now I am living in São Paulo for 20 years. This year I finished the advanced level of my English studies and decided to go to NY on vacation to practice a bit more. I work as a journalist in a news website editing articles about finance and general news (world, national, education, technology...). I like to dance - wich doesn't mean I really know how to -, and to meet people to drink a bit and talk and laugh a lot. I am a very calm, clean and organized person. I like pets, I love kids, and I don't smoke.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Brazilian music. My favourite rhythm to dance is forró, a typical sound from Brazil northeast, the region I was born. My favourite song is not a forró, actually. It's a song from a 1960's brazilian band called Novos Baianos: "Preta Preta Pretinha" ("Besta é Tu" is also very good). But I can hear any kind of music. From US, I like many different things, from Speranza Spalding to Taylor Swift. Beck, Britney Spears, Nina Simone, Beyoncé. Just don't like so much heavy metal. But if anytime that's the only option, I don't care.
I like to watch Wes Anderson movies and any one with the argentinian actor Ricardo Darín. My favourite movie is "The Exterminator Angel", by Buñuel.
About books, I like comics like Persépolis and anything from Joe Sacco, but I also read The Fault in Our Stars and the newest Bridget Jones Diary. Now I'm reading "Orientalism" and Andrew Solomon's "Far From the Tree".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my best memories is watching whales in Argentina.
I also liked to watch Iguazu Falls.
And any Carnival in Brazilian streets is pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to live slowly and peacefully and to have time to hear people telling their stories and think together about life. Don't know what I can teach, maybe something about Brazil, wich I really, really love.
