About Me
Before the pandemic, I was such a homebody. My free days were spent lounging at home, and doing overtime at work. 😂 I liked going to the movies though, and attending concerts and museum events.
It was in 2020 when I decided to go for a week-long solo trip to Japan - and it was all sorts of wonderful! Unfortunately, the COVID pandemic happened right after. 😢
When the restrictions started easing in the PH around the second half of 2021, I was able to explore some local tourist destinations like Cebu, Coron, and Boracay. I would love to introduce you to these wonderful places when you come visit!
So far, my most memorable trip would be my first post-pandemic visit to Japan last year (Nov 2022). The autumn scenery in Kyoto was so beautiful and moving. I was also able to watch Makoto Shinkai’s new movie ‘Suzume’ in Tokyo. 🥳
I can say that I’m quite the go-with-the-flow kind of person. I like to take my time and have a relaxing experience so I don’t usually plan much or prepare any strict itinerary when I travel.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I found out about this site/app while reading a travel blog and it seems to be a good platform to meet locals and make new friends who could tell me about enjoyable activities to do or wonderful places to visit to make my trips worthwhile. I also want to be helpful to those who want to visit and explore the Philippines.

Music, Movies, and Books
Because I'm studying Nihongo, I have been listening to a lot of Japanese songs these days. I like back number, Radwimps, Omoinotake, and Creepy Nuts. I also like to listen to Imagine Dragons, Owl City, OneRepublic, and Kodaline. I am a fan of Makoto Shinkai’s works and my favorite movie is ‘The Garden of Words’. This is why my favorite garden is Shinjuku Gyoen 😆
One of the main reasons I’m studying Japanese is so I can read art and gardening books in Japanese in the future. I feel like there’s a lot of helpful information that I will only get a good gist of if I can read 日本語. Besides, I like how Hiragana and Katakana characters look on posters, book covers, and store signages ✨
