About Me

hello! i'm clarisse. i live in Paris where I just came back after several months living in Mexico :)

every time i have the opportunity i am off for a travel, to visit my friends or discover some new places and cultures.

i study fine arts in Paris and i'm developing my practice in documentary film making, photography and writing :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i guess couch surfing is a great experience for travelling and a good way to really get to know local people. i like visiting friends in their country when i have the opportunity to do so, and somehow couch surfing is a good way to make new encounters abroad!

i did couchsurfing for the first time with my sister in lithuania and latvia, and later mostly alone when i was travelling to chile. it was great for a month and a half to only hang out with chilenos and chilenas thanks to couch surfing!
it is i think the best way to meet people from total different horizons and im excited for my next encounter!

i could host people in Paris, don't hesitate to write me and see if it could be possible.

Interests

i am mostly interested in art, design, video/documentary as suggest my studies, but i also like philosophy, anthropology, sociology... and i'm always curious about any other subjects i wouldn't expect to be into, like botanics or even economics. i also always have my eyes opened to observe daily situation and write about them.

but also, one the most important interest i have is FOOD. i like coooking, eating, experimenting new recipes, sharing a nice meal... you might recognize yourself into that :)

but i also did study food as a full subject in the context of my design school. food is so broad as a subject, there is always something to dig into. so in the end it is even more for me then a simple diner, i let you imagine.

but as i'm trying to develop my own documentary practice, i'm also looking for interesting individual's stories, and would be curious to hear some of yours. - as sometimes a personal story can say so much about a universal subject.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

travelling on my own in chile when i was 18, to encounter women doing weaving, realise my first documentary and learn spanish!

Teach, Learn, Share

i am really into learning and teaching foreign languages, and i would really appreciate to teach you some french! i even created a card game to get to know french, and i will be more than happy to share it with you.

if you are into language exchange i will be so grateful to learn some words &expressions!

i speak french (my native language) english and spanish fluently. and i always like to start some new languages. two years ago i really got into learning latvian, im not even really sure why.. i guess i just enjoyed it :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

points of view definitely. stories, memories, prospections.

i would love to cook for you as well!

and if you are up for a short video/audio collaboration, hit me up
