Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i mostly host, but lately it's been a rarity.

i travel a lot, and i'd love to be more involved.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i absolutely LOVE hosting people from other countries. my best hosting experience was a couple of awesome chicks from Denmark who gave me a new experience of my own city and taught me some amazing things about life.

Interests

I am still a veterinary technician at heart, but have moved on to other things after some interesting twists of fate.
That said, I love my job! I'm a barista and baker at a fabulous local coffeehouse.

Music, Movies, and Books

my lists are too long. hit me with your top three.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw a woman who wasn't there, in an old theatre in historic downtown Galveston, a building that survived the storm. All the doors were locked, it was the middle of the day and I thought she was a customer who'd slipped in somehow. "ma'am? ma'am?" I called after her down the hallway, following her into the dark house, flipping the lights on as I went. I searched the building top to bottom twice, checking both still-locked doors, not able to believe (a determined skeptic) but unable to explain what I'd seen. It wasn't my imagination, but what it was... I haven't the foggiest clue. Local law enforcement, to my continued disbelief, suggested she was a ghost.

Teach, Learn, Share

i wish i could memorize the things i learned from the film "maybe logic" by robert anton wilson.
