About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoyment and survival.
ABOUT ME
Things that make me pretty happy are: Whiskey, wine, new books, old books, dancing, meatloaf and mashed potatoes, visiting new places be they bars or countries, lilacs, tattoos, surprises, brewery food (and beer), autumn, the Northwest, Argentina, purple clouds, laughing, swimming in lakes, macabre humor, performing in drag, colorful knee-high socks, changing the month on a calendar and talking way too much.
Things that make me not so happy are: allergies, my asthma, having to remove staples from a document, wet socks, shopping for pants, apathetic people, needless paperwork, and olives.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host as often as I can. I try to share my knowledge of my town, books and libraries, careers, theatre and gender performance, books, and crisis intervention.
Currently not hosting due to my lack of a permanent home.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All of my experiences have been wonderful. I've hosted all sorts of folks from all kinds of ages and backgrounds. CouchSurfing makes me feel so much better about life because of the people I've met and just the mere fact that such an idea exists and is so embraced around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My ability to belch louder, longer and more frequently than most people I know has been called amazing. Also disgusting and disturbing. Depends on your perspective I guess.
Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego were also pretty damn amazing
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to read. I have an fairly wide book collection and I love to talk about favorite authors, stories, and ideas. I think I'm fairly knowledgeable about the writings of John Steinbeck, Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut, Mario Vargas Llosa and Tom Robbins to list a few varied favorites. I don't exactly know what I can teach but I can sure discuss.
I've also spent a lot of time in the worlds of social service, caregiving, and crisis intervention and I'm happy to share any knowledge that I've gained from those experiences. I also work in various capacities as a librarian type person.
