About Me

I'm just doing my best to give back to a world that has given so much to me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met a lot of amazing people throughout my life, and the most common theme between all of them has been their incredible generosity and hospitality when I've came to visit.

My hope is that I can return the favor and help fellow wanderers experience the beautiful city that is Pittsburgh, and get a true appreciation for the good people that live here.

Interests

I'm incredibly passionate about all things brain related, but specifically have an intense fascination with internal dialog and the variety of ways in which people internally analyze the outside world.

This passion of course extends to life in general!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music, but I'd have to say by far my favorite music is Death Cab for Cutie and Brand New.
:
As for books: A Song of Ice and Fire series, A New Earth, The Accidental Mind, Ready Player One, Code, 3-Body Problem, and many many more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The story of my life might be kinda amazing. I was a homeschooled kid that didn't know Algebra, joined the military at 18, got paid to illegally break onto Air Force bases.

Got out and worked side by side with US senior defense executives as a contractor (avoid!) (while getting my Computer Science degree), Developed my own software which became a Dept. of Defense Program of Record worth millions of dollars, lauding me massive salary...

The most amazing thing I've ever done however was this:
I realized none of what I just said in the last paragraph gave me any substantive purpose, so I quit that life and decided to travel the world until I figured out what would actually give me purpose in life, and that's how I ended up here.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a guest bedroom and shower supplies. Also there is a shared kitchen and bathroom as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Qatar, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, British
