About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I quit my sensible job in 2008 to travel, sing, and practice my accordion. My mid-life gap year is now becoming two years. I taught English in Barcelona and Andalucia in Spain, spent a summer fixing up my guitars, wild swimming and learning the wildflowers of Welsh coast, then travelled in Canada and New England. I'd like a regular income from my life as a dreamer.
I am a non-smoker and a regular beer taster.

PHILOSOPHY

Feel the fear and do it if you can manage it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The marvelous Maude of Montreal was my first couch. What a wonderful debut.

Must mention Melodie of Kingston too, a good friend, who made me up a spectacular couch - so good it was really a bed - and who welcomed my friend Sue too, giving freely of her couch, time as a tour guide and canoeing expertise during my wonderful stay there. The cool and lovely Ade of Albany NY, and French- Morrocan Camille, age 71, who met me on the bus rfom Val-David and extended trust to melt my heart - she's now going to join couchsurfing to meet new people.

Since then, I surfed at Lynn's and her son's at Falmouth Cape Cod (I'm persuading her to join CS - She just invited me to stay at hers after we met at Martha's Vineyard HI hostel - and at Ruth's in Portland, where I fell in love with baseball and got some cat-soothing for my frazzled traveller's soul.
I look forward to hosting when I get back into my home and get off friends and family floors.
