About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, eat and be merry

ABOUT ME

A typical character you'll find on CS, friendly, fun-loving, easy-going. I like to laugh and play and stay busy!

PHILOSOPHY

Down with dogmatism?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host myself because my current living situation doesn't allow it. However, I can put you in contact with someone who can. I am also happy to meet up for a drink or coffee, or to take you hiking up table mountain or lions heads (if I'm not too busy studying, sadly I often am). At the very least I can give you a pretty good list of the hotspots to visit (this applies to Cape Town and Johannesburg)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None myself (my living situation hasn't allowed it) but my boyfriend is am avid host and I often find myself co-hosting. Thus far meeting couch surfers has been amazing! Met some great folks, had some fascinating conversations and in general learnt a little more about life out there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Not really a fan of Hollywood blockbusters, although there is nothing like a bad fluffy movie to serve as opium for a tired mind.
The Fall, Fear and Loathing Las Vegas, Hangnail and I, weird foreign films, Mr Nobody

Music:
Pretty much all of it!

Books:
Because I study law I am ALWAYS reading. Because of that I've recently stuck more to fantasy type books like Robert Jordan's epic Wheel of Time to clear my head. Other books I've loved include The heart is a lonely hunter, Despair, Lolita, Jane Eyre, Story of an African farm (my absolute favorite!), Nervous conditions...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swim with dolphins; see the Great Wall of china, the Grand Canyon and the pyramids; bungee jump from the hughest fixed bungee in the world (which is also how I discovered I might have a slight terror of heights); see 3 of the big 5 at once;

Teach, Learn, Share

Share world views and ideas. I can teach you to knit, paint, make some yummy easy fudge, and to waterskii (if we can find a boat!)
I'd love to learn more about other people and their worlds,, maybe a little of a new language.
