Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm a 23-year-old Spanish girl. I’m currently living in Granada, my hometown, working as a freelance translator. I consider myself a very out-going, spontaneous and open-minded person. I am very energetic so I enjoy keeping myself busy all the time, hanging out with people, doing new activities and discovering new places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting people from everywhere, I think I can learn a lot from people that have other social or cultural backgrounds as that enriches my mind. I'm a very curious person so I really enjoy listening to other people's stories. I think Couchsurfing brings us a great opportunity to make friends from every part of the world. I met the most awesome and inspiring people thanks to this app.
My aim is to see and learn as much as possible about what this world has to offer. I need to move around, to shuffle my surroundings. I need wake up in cities I don’t know my way around and have conversations in languages I cannot entirely comprehend. There is always this tremendous longing in my heart to be lost, to be someplace else.
Interests
I love nature and sports and I’m an outdoor enthusiast: I enjoy a lot activities such as skiing, hiking, running, snorkeling, camping, canoeing, roll skating or going on road trips, as well as going to music festivals or techno parties. I do enjoy reading and learning other languages.
Music, Movies, and Books
TECHNO is the music that makes me the happiest. I also like regge, tech house, drum and bass, ambient, psychodelic rock. My favorite movie genre is thriller and my favorite movie is probably Shutter Island.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to five continents in the same year.
I stood in three countries at the same time.
I won the Armed Forces race in Spain.
I completed St. James's Way (Camino de Santiago).
I represented the Seychelles Islands as an ambassador in the World Health Organization in the United Nations.
I've lived in 3 countries by the age of 20.
I backpacked through Australia on a campervan for almost three months.
I snorkeled with whale sharks in Ningaloo Reef.
I saw orcas hunting a humpback whale in the open ocean.
I scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef.
Surfing in Aussie beaches.
Hitchhiking a few times.
Spent New Year’s Eve camping in the Sahara Desert.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could show you the city, introduce you to my friends, take you to clubs or parties if you want. I will share experiences with you, stories about my trips. I will tell you why for me risking is not just a part of life but life itself.
I can't think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder that to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. You have only the most rudimentary sense of how things work. When you move to another country, without knowing anybody, no clue about the language. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses. It's this high-anxiety zone what I'm addicted to. I just wanna have an adventurous and passionate life and live in/explore as many countries as I can.
