Overview
About Me
I grew up in Barcelona,Catalonia, at the Vila Olímpica neighborhood in a liberal and multicultural community by the sea. I always enjoyed having guests from around the world at home, showing them the city through our eyes, and I told myself that it was time to actually experience life as a foreigner!
After high school, I left Catalonia in and moved to Seattle in 2013 looking for new horizons and good people. Now I am a college student studying anthropology, and I am still exploring other academic areas that I love.
In Barcelona I used to enjoy looking for forgotten corners and map the most unique of the beaten path sites with my friends, and here In the US I love exploring Washington State and this whole continent, and I am always looking forward on road trips and escapes from everything.
I also love theater and slam poetry, if you know of events like this let me know!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I came to live here in Seattle, It took me a while to get to know the locals and make good friends, and I am a 100% that this wouldn't have happened if I had known of Couchsurfing. How is it possible that I didn't know of its existence and its amazing people?
This year I became very good friends with a girl who got to know all her friends through Couchsurfing, and it has opened my eyes to the world of traveling and also hosting and sharing our experiences!
Interests
I am interested in traveling and especially seeing those sites that only natives know. I love reading, slam poetry and also catching up with the habit of writing my own poetry and pieces. I have three dogs and in Catalonia I used to have horses and practice natural horsemanship :)
One day, I would like to travel across Mongolia for a whole year by horse and foot , I don't know why but I've been attracted to this dream since I was like 9. Also, I love photojournalism and I used to spend hours watching eyewitness of the Guardian.

Music, Movies, and Books
One of my favorite poets is Garcia Lorca. "Paisaje con dos tumbas y un perro asirio" is my favorite poem from him.
One of my other favorite poets is Bécquer. My favorite poem from him, ¨Rima V¨, would make a great and long epigraph :)
I love many movies, but I grew up with Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter, so it's part of my being. A really good movie that I don't understand why some people can't stand is "The tree of life" and also "Chihiro's Journey".
My favorite documentary director is the amazing Yann Arthus-Bertrand, and it was through his documentary "Home" that I told myself that I would try to make at least one documentary during my lifetime.
My favorite authors are Carlos Ruiz Zafón and Isabel Allende.
-------------
"The Tree of life", "Inglorious Bastards", "My name is Sam", Harvey Milk", Rebels with a cause" "Amélie", "Into the Wild", ....
Ska-P, Txarango, The Beetles, Fito Fitipaldis, Zaz, Manel, Los Delincuentes, Simon and Garfunkel....
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made an enormous last-minute surprise-visit to my best friend who is studying in Aberdeen, Scotland, when I visited Barcelona from Seattle during Christmas.
She had been dying to show me the Scotland she lives everyday, and I had been enchanted by Scotland since I visited it at 14.
So when I found a cheap flight to Edinburgh I borrowed a backpack, stuffed some warm clothes and boots and headed to the airport without even knowing how I would get to Aberdeen.
Once in Edinburgh I bought a train ticket to Aberdeen and I traveled 3 hours north, seeing how cliffs and little coast towns disappeared into the winter darkness.
You should have seen her face! it was the first time that I decided to make a last-minute travel by myself and every second was worth it.

What I Can Share with Hosts
My stories from Barcelona and my adventures here in Washington and the wild west in general.
Like the time I crossed paths with an american bear cub, he was meters away from me, and even though I was scared of the mother appearing anytime, he or she laid down in front of me , just chilling.
I can also cook you traditional Catalan food, such as "Pa amb tomàquet" and have a good time!
