About Me
Updated life status: Met partner in Adelaide, stuck here now. Working as photographer. Happy to host lots of travellers as I really miss meeting like minded people from all cultures and countries! :)
Just got a new couch that turns into a bed or otherwise have a big mattress that we can put in the spare room for you. Would love to take you to nature spots around Adelaide.
CURRENT MISSIONs: Go back to the mountains
Hey there!
Well, where should I start? I'm a young girl, born and raised in Bavaria, intended to to a bit of travelling after school and then go to University. Well, that bit of travelling turned into a bit more and it's been my lifestyle since then but I'm still unsure of where this road will take me.
So far I know though: There is a lot more out there to be explored and learned still so I don't see a reason to stop yet :)
All that useless information aside, I do write too much because I enjoy writing. As I enjoy anything visual such as drawing, painting, the way letters are typed, people's and animal's eyes, nature and photography - which luckily turned into one of my part time jobs every now and then.
Other than that I love music. Listening to it mainly, but I started learning guitar a year ago and it will be my companion on the road (can't say that I'm good yet but you better hear for yourself ;))
What else is there to say? Adventuring and uncommon ways of travelling of course! Anything outdoorsy, from bike touring to hitch hiking journeys, dumpsterdiving sometimes, camping and hiking, swimming or sheep gathering on horses. And my favourite: splitting firewood (Canadian at heart I guess)
So far I've made my way around Canada, Iceland and Europe mainly through hitch hiking and I usually work for a couple of months here and there, usually in restaurants or cafe's.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Definetely one of the best ways aside from hitch hiking and volunteering to get in touch with the locals and travellers. Also enjoy the athmosphere on events (living room concerts or meet ups). Every friend started as a stranger at least :)
