About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi folks!
My name is Claudia and I'm an Italian student/would-be musician who yearns to travel around the world, meet people from different cultures with whom to share my outlook on life and the world in general, compare personal tastes in music, chat and talk about my travels and experiences.
It's hard to draw a picture of the self within very few lines. First of all, I'd say I'm an outgoing and curious person, but I respect other people's privacy. I rely on coffee to get the day started, however after breakfast I turn out to be rather active and nice. Though I travel a lot, I'm good at keeping in touch with my old friends and the ones I chumed up with along the way.

Interests

I'm totally fond of almost any kind of music, especially punkrock and new wave, but I must say I worship rock in general. I've been to many concerts and I picked up the electric guitar when I was seventeen. Since then, I've sporadically played the bass as well. I currently sing in a Kraut-punkrock band in my uni town (Bologna) and we plan to record our tracks soon. I love art history and foreign languages, and I'm particularly into germanic languages (I study English and German, but I'd also like to start Swedish). I speak un peu de français y español and I am fluent in Italian. I spend my free time cooking with my friends, reading, drawing comics, writing poems/songs and short stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was december and it was literally freezing in Munich. I visited a good friend of mine who lives and works there. I hadn't seen him for two years, so I was excited at the idea of seeing him again. We met in the city centre, then he thought we could go to a nice concert hall in the suburbs. Unfortunately, his car proved not to be as loyal as we expected, so it suddenly swerved and stopped in the middle of nowhere, because we were already far enough not be able to find a bus stop or whatever. Although a blizzard was starting and we had no clue where we could go. We began to walk and I tried to cheer my friend up as he was even more disheartened than me, even if he was expected to know the surroundings better than me. We finally reached an "U-Bahn Haltestelle" (Metro Station), nevertheless we had to wait for another two hours as the underground was closed. My phone was low and his had no network: fine. As soon as we hopped on the underground, we realised it'd take almost an hour to get home! I was craving for a hot chocolate and this is what I was actually going to sip tastefully at the hostel when some tipsy berliner hooligans started to bother us..

Another stunning memory of my travels is related to a beautiful sunset I could wonder at in Norway at midnight, surrounded by the flaming waters of the ocean.
