About Me
**ABOUT ME**
I'm a spontaneous, life-loving traveler who values experiences over touristy sightseeing 🗺️
In the past I was suffering from a panic and anxiety disorder and living a meaningless life at home. Then one day I got the chance to move abroad (alone) and despite all the warnings, I took it and it changed my life! I started to see that we often set our own limits, but we are capable of more than those limits allow and we should push them! That was the beginning of my journeys and I hope an end would never come 😊
**CURRENT ADVENTURE**
Erasmus (university exchange studies) in Nantes, France. I continue to seek for the most bizarre experiences each place has to offer, whether it's food or culture or places.
I'm also an amateur documentarist. I want to document different human faiths, cultures and special places around the world. If you have a story to share, I'd love to capture it!
VALUES
I am trying to live a sustainable and enviromentally-friendly lifestyle when possible. Recycling, avoiding extra consumption and investing in organic and locally produced food are the main ways I reflect this in my daily life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people is made easy and enjoyable by this platform. Staying at hosts allows me to experience their hospitality and the local or their native culture. I love learning about the world and hearing amazing stories people
I haven't got to host anyone yet, but it is definately in my plans to do so when I find a place of my own again!
Interests
At the beginning of the year 2019 I dedicated myself to the world of (craft) beer, after years of being into them and started building a career on it. I know a thing or two about those ;)
Another great interest of mine is studying the human mind and behavior. More specifically, the ways we interact with different products and services, and what makes us act the way we do. I would like to study psychology !
When traveling, exploring abandoned (or otherwise bizarre/hidden) places is a very pleasant activity for me and if only I have the possibility for it, I might just risk my safety just to explore a place that looks interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Rise Against.
Their music pleases my ears and the lyrics of their songs reflect those of mine.
Some country and folk music as well, but I can't name any top artists. Electronic music too!
Nowadays, my other listenings include whatever Spotify's mixes offer me.
~~~
Books:
Usually I read non-fiction books about topics that fascinate me, such as "The Design of Everyday Things" by Donald Norman which I recently finished and absolutely loved it. From fictional books I could name John Grisham's "Sycamore Row" and a few ones from Finnish black humor-heavy authors.
~~~
Movies:
There are many movies that I've enjoyed watching. I tend to watch a new one every time I do and therefore, it's hard to list my favorites. "In to the Wild" was one of those movies that I found inspiring and woke up some emotions in me. James Bond- and Monthy Python-films are all time classics and represent their styles (action and comedy) quite well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Served at the Office of the President of the Republic Finland during my time in the conscript service.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're inexperienced with the world of beer, I'll be happy to share my knowledge with you. If you say "I don't like beer", I'll be happy to prove you wrong ;)
I can also teach you some Finnish, if you have LOTS of time and patience in your hands. It's not simple, but definately interesting language!
Listing all the things I would like to learn would take far too long, so let's just say that I'm open to learn anything!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Introduction to beers, good company and fascinating stories.
Besides knowing how to operate a microwave, I actually know how to make pretty good food.
